Who Will Be the Warriors' Starting Center Next Season?

This is how it’s going to go down. Most likely, Wiseman will be ready to go for training camp in September as he recovers from his meniscus injury in his right knee. Although the Warriors organization has mentioned publicly that they will take their time with the young center’s return, not rushing him into anything, my educated guess is that he will be cleared for action in time for training camp. That is extremely important as he needs to get on the court with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green as soon as possible. That time spent with the Golden State core will be vital for his basketball development heading into his second year. He can’t miss those opportunities to get on the floor and get better. The caveat here is obviously that this is all pending his health.

Nico Mannion Departs Warriors for Italy

The Nico Mannion era in Golden State is being put on hold. Whether this is a permanent end or simply a pause remains to be seen.

Mannion, who was going to be on a two-way contract with the Warriors for this upcoming season, chose instead to sign with Virtus Bologna of the Serie A Basketball League in Italy. To fill his two-way slot, the Warriors have agreed to a deal with point guard Chris Chiozza. That move was reported prior to the announcement of Mannion’s departure.

As sure as the the sun comes up every morning, an NBA rookie will get their old tweets pulled up in the first few weeks or so following draft night. The Rockets’ newly drafted Joshua Christopher was no exception.

I was alerted of an image someone put together which contained a tweet compilation of sorts of Steph Curry slander. There was multiple tweets from 2016, all bashing Curry, and they were all from Christopher, also known as JayGup’s twitter page. Naturally, I posted it to twitter as some of the tweets were hilarious. Like the “Steven Adams > Steph Curry” one for example.

“He’s the best shooter who ever lived”: Steph Curry and the Olympic Window for 2024

One of the more notable missing names from Team USA’s Olympic run this past summer in Tokyo was Warriors guard and perennial MVP candidate Steph Curry. Curry opted out of the Olympics after Golden State’s heartbreakers against the Lakers and Grizzlies in the play-in. It appears that Steph chose to take the offseason to rest and gear up for another title run next year and beyond: He just signed a four-year extension with the Warriors and with his skillset, certainly has the longevity to be a dominant force in the league for years to come. But will he be playing in the 2024 Olympics?

Warriors Reported to be "Enamored" With Pascal Siakam

Aside from the signing of Andre Iguodala to a one-year deal, Golden State hasn’t made much of a splash in free agency or via trade. Not yet at least.

A recent report from Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee has linked the Golden State Warriors to the Toronto Raptors’ Pascal Siakam. According to Anderson’s sources the Raptors are receiving numerous calls from teams around the league regarding Siakam. The source claims Toronto’s team president Masai Ujiri is “listening like a good negotiator.” Apparently the Sacramento Kings, Warriors, and Los Angeles Clippers are “enamored” by the power forward from the North. The report did go on to say that the likelihood of Siakam is relatively low as Siakam doesn’t have any wish to leave his current team. However if the Raptors are listening to offers certainly anything could happen.
