Juan Toscano-Anderson accepts Klay Thompson as "honorary Mexican" in Twitter post

It’s no secret Klay Thompson has had a very Klay-like summer as he recovers from an Achilles tear suffered a week prior to the start of the 2020-2021 season.

Through his social media channels, among other places, we’ve seen Klay in many different settings over the last few months. From attending the premier of Space Jam 2, a film Thompson had a role in, sailing around the Bay on his boat, putting in work on the basketball court, and most recently sticking his head out of a window in what one can only assume is Mexico, screaming “VIVA MEXICO!”, Klay has been enjoying life as only he can. The latter was posted to his Instagram account on Friday.

The viral video quickly made its way around the internet and caught the eye of Golden State Warriors forward and teammate of Thompson, Juan Toscano-Anderson. Toscano-Anderson, a Mexican-American, quote tweeted the video with “Klay we accept you as an honorary Mexican my brotha. Viva 🇲🇽”.

Jordan Poole can be a sneaky candidate for Most Improved Player of the year next season

Ever since being drafted with the 28th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, Jordan Poole has been one of the most polarizing players in the Warriors organization.

Prior to the draft, Poole was most known for his buzzer-beater to beat Wisconsin in the Round of 32 in March Madness 2018. Poole and his Michigan team wound up making it all the way to the National Championship, where they lost to Villanova. Poole would declare for the draft following that game.

However, a deeper look at Poole’s college profile paints a picture as to why so many Warriors fans were skeptical about using a high pick to get him. He only played two years at Michigan, one coming strictly off the bench, and the other coming as a full time starter who averaged 12.8 points/game while shooting 37% from three.

Iguodala’s Return Signals Revitalization of Relationship With Curry

It was June 2, 2019, during the postgame of Game 2 of the NBA Finals. The Golden State Warriors had just defeated the Toronto Raptors 109-104, evening the series at a game apiece. Stephen Curry scored 23 points, and Andre Iguodala iced the win with a three-pointer in the final seconds. He hit the shot in spite of a left calf injury that he suffered during the Western Conference Finals and had seemingly reaggravated the prior game. Sitting in the locker room after the win, Iguodala was asked a simple question: what motivated him to play through the pain?

Never one to shy away from answering a question honestly, he told the truth.

“I like Steph,” Iguodala said. “That’s really the only reason why I like playing basketball. That’s the only reason why I play.”

Klay responds to Kuminga's monster Summer League slam

The score was 49-52 when the number seven overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft, Jonathan Kuminga, decided to hold the ball for one last shot before the end of the first half. With seven seconds left on the game clock, Kuminga put the ball on the floor near the top of the key and went to work. The 18-year-old dribbled hard to his right side before stopping on a dime and stepping back in an instant. He gave his defender a filthy cross-over back to his right side, proceeded downhill towards the rim, and finally took flight off of two feet from about 13 feet away from the baseline. He hammered home the one-handed dunk, and it sent everyone watching into a frenzy. Most notably, from play-by-play commentator and former WNBA player, Renee Montgomery, who had the call.

Warriors' odds to win championship next season surprisingly high according to sportsbook

There is a lot to be hopeful for this season if you’re a Golden State Warriors fan. Kerr Drops off Social Media After Talk With Wiseman

NBA Twitter is something of a spectacle to watch.
