Poole, Green Get into it in Timeout, Quickly Resolve Issue After

During the Warriors win last night against the Timberwolves, Draymond Green and Jordan Poole appeared to have a moment of honesty with each other. It appeared that Poole made a comment that didn’t sit well with Green, causing him to stand up and get motivational in a way only Draymond can do. Shortly after the shouting, the two dapped up to seal the issue as nothing more than two teammates caring about the game.

While some look at this as a sign of lacking chemistry, this has happened with Warriors championship teams of the past as well. Teammates, when emotions are running hot in a game, can and will get brutally honest in a way that someone else may not want to hear, or may be very opinionated about.

There is little cause for concern, considering the Warriors are 10-1 largely thanks to the play of both Green and Poole, with this situation being written off more as impassioned discussions about the game, which the Warriors ended up closing out behind an incredible 35-point performance from Andrew Wiggins.

Wiggins was the star of the show, throwing down a vicious poster and a well-timed put-back on former Timberwolves teammate Karl-Anthony Towns. The Wiggins “revenge game” was a hot topic last night with his stellar play. The Dubs managed to fend off a late surge from the Wolves, powered by a nuclear 48 points from sophomore star Anthony Edwards, to keep their record since losing to the Grizzlies pristine.

Poole and Green banding together to support Wiggins’ efforts (despite Green suffering a right thigh contusion in the third quarter) despite their disagreement shows just how unified this team really is. The yelling ended pretty early after it began, with the two guys who are known to speak their minds sealing it up with a handshake. There’s very little to delve into with this situation: Just two spark plugs from the Warriors, letting each other know what they think, and making sure they’re on the same page afterwards.
