LeBron James disagrees with Steph Curry's NBA2K rating

Recently, the popular NBA 2K video game series has begun publicly announcing its overall ratings for players in anticipation of its latest iteration, NBA 2K22.

When Stephen Curry’s overall rating, a 96, was tweeted out from SLAM Gaming's Twitter page earlier today, it caught the attention of none other than old Finals nemesis, LeBron James. James tweeted in disagreement of his rivals given rating saying, “Nah should be 99!”.

Shortly after, LeBron tweeted the same thing in response to Brooklyn Nets star, Kevin Durant’s rating. Durant was also given an overall rating of 96 from the video game maker.

Kind words from James who has generally been known to keep cordial relationships with his fellow NBA superstars. Some would consider the kind remarks and support from James as recruitment ploys, however, at the same time if he never complimented his peers people would talk about how James dislikes his competition, and so on. So, I’ll take the compliment and continue on with my day. Also, Curry recently signed a multi-year, max contract with the Warriors which keeps him home in the Bay Are until at least 2026.

Curry’s rating actually sits him tied at the top of the NBA along with James, Durant, and recent Finals MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo, all who share the same 96 rating.

One thing that the team over at 2K Sports didn’t get wrong is Curry’s 3pt rating, which leads all other players at 99. Although, one must ask, what does it take to get a rating of 100?
