Moses Moody Returns to Little Rock for 2025 Camp, Joined by Draymond Green
Warriors guard Moses Moody was back in his hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas this past weekend for 2025’s edition of the Moses Moody Basketball Camp at North Little Rock High School. Hosted by Moody’s Motivate One Foundation, the camp was attended by student-athletes all over the state, as well as by Warriors teammate Draymond Green.
The annual camp came with a series of events to uplift the local community, providing access for hoopers in the area to meet with coaches and attend workshops to hone their craft over the summer. For Moses, it was an opportunity he took to give back to the community that he grew up around, providing players with expanded resources that it lacked when he was going through their system.
“I grew up here, and I didn’t go to any camps with professional athletes. I didn’t have that. So I just wanted to bring that access to [the attendees]” Moody told the media during a press conference on Saturday, reported by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s Adam Vogler.
Moses was a former attendee of North Little Rock High, having transferred there from Parkview Arts and Science Magnet High School his sophomore year of high school before heading to Montverde Academy the year after. He would go on to return in-state and play at Arkansas for college ball, becoming the highest-ranked commit the school had since Bobby Portis in 2013. Moody led the Razorbacks on their way to an Elite Eight appearance in the 2021 NCAA Tournament before being drafted to and winning a championship with the Warriors, stamping him as a hometown legend at each level he’s played at.
This isn’t the first time Moody came to camp with a teammate. In 2023, then-Warrior Klay Thompson pulled up for his first ever time in the state of Arkansas to provide support and help coach up the players in attendance. This time around though, it was Draymond who made the trip for many of the same reasons, on top of his existing friendship with Moody.
“I’m extremely thrilled to be here” Green told the media at the same press conference. “That’s my guy. If I can be here to show support for him, I always will.”
Green has been one of the most prominent veterans to support the guard since Moody’s rookie year on the Warriors, taking the guard under his wing throughout his young career and even competing side-by-side with him at the All-Star Skills Challenge this past season in the Bay Area. While the vets and coaching staff have always praised #4’s work ethic and willingness to buy in, Dray has no doubt been one of the leading voices in making sure he gets the proper praise.
With so many questions surrounding the team this offseason, it’s a great break to see the players still having each other’s backs for the things that matter the most.
