All eyes were on Stephen Curry as he walked into Chase Center on Nov. 8 versus the Portland Trailblazers. At the time, Curry was 16 threes away from breaking Ray Allen’s three-point record.

Although this would normally be impossible, Curry has changed the definition impossible, and everyone entertained the thought that Curry could possibly break the record. This would’ve also meant that Curry would’ve broken fellow splash brother Klay Thompson’s record of most threes in a single game. The fact that the media even entertained this idea in the first place should demonstrate Curry’s greatness, and the anticipation was high as ever.

Curry passes Pippen on the all-time scoring list

Steph Curry put up 32 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists on route to beating the Blazers by fifteen points. That thirty-bomb moved him past Scottie Pippen’s 62nd place spot (18,940) by five points. Some fans pointed out that Curry’s favorite number versus the Blazers is 62, as that’s how many he had last time he played them and that is his rank on the all-time list as of last night. The 61st spot belongs to Dale Ellis who is about 70 points ahead of Steph.

The duo of Steph Curry and Draymond Green has already been on full display this season as the Warriors sit atop the standings in league with a 12-2 record. Many of the superstars in the NBA know that the two are a deadly combination, but some are just now learning what they can really do.
