Warriors Considering Resting Curry Against Pacers

As Stephen Curry approaches the all-time regular season record for three-pointers made to officially claim his crown as the game’s top shooter, the Warriors could be looking to make it a night for the books - and a storyline to remember.

NBA writer Marc Stein reported today that the Warriors are “weighing a night of rest for Stephen Curry in Indiana”, as he stands about 10 threes away from clearing Ray Allen’s record for total regular season threes. This news comes on the heels of Curry putting up 6 triples against the Blazers earlier this week.

Steve Kerr Named Next Team USA Head Coach

Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, it looks like Team USA has found its next head coach. Starting with the 2023 FIBA World Cup, Warriors shot-called Steve Kerr will be taking over Gregg Popovich’s position as Team USA’s lead on the bench.

Included in Kerr’s staff will be NBA coaching vets Monty Williams (Phoenix Suns), Mark Few (Gonzaga) and Eric Spoelstra (Miami Heat). Kerr, a winner in the NBA with three titles of his own in Golden State, was one of Pop’s assistants in the 2016 and 2021 Olympics where the US continued its hoops dominance to win their gold medals.

An update on James Wiseman’s return

It’s been a while since we’ve seen James Wiseman out on the court, over 600 days to be exact. The former number two overall pick was spotted a few days ago participating in some ball handling drills after practice per Monte Poole. He also said that the second-year big man is approaching the eight-month post-surgery. This is still on track with his 6–9-month recovery return time, which is a bit strange since he hasn’t been fully cleared to practice yet.

When will Steph Curry break the 3 Point Record?

All eyes were on Stephen Curry as he walked into Chase Center on Nov. 8 versus the Portland Trailblazers. At the time, Curry was 16 threes away from breaking Ray Allen’s three-point record.

Although this would normally be impossible, Curry has changed the definition impossible, and everyone entertained the thought that Curry could possibly break the record. This would’ve also meant that Curry would’ve broken fellow splash brother Klay Thompson’s record of most threes in a single game. The fact that the media even entertained this idea in the first place should demonstrate Curry’s greatness, and the anticipation was high as ever.

Moody, Kuminga Combine for 62 Points in G-League Win

The rookies are looking pretty good in Santa Cruz. Yesterday, Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody combined for an electric 62 points in a win for the Sea-Dubs over the Agua Caliente Clippers. Moody had an impressive line with 37 points and 10 rebounds to go along, while Kuminga had 25 points of his own.
